Freshly Baked Yummies – A Homegrown Bakery Brand

Brief:

Freshly Baked Yummies is a home-based bakery run by Sana, a passionate baker who wanted her brand to stand out with a unique identity. Unlike most bakery logos that feature typical baking essentials—whisks, rolling pins, or cupcakes—Sana wanted something simple yet distinctive, something that truly reflected her philosophy and the essence of her brand.

Understanding the Brand:

Before diving into the design, I took the time to understand the story behind Freshly Baked Yummies. Through a series of thoughtful questions and discussions, I uncovered what made this brand special:

  • Sana specializes in healthy baking, using ingredients like oats, honey, and other gluten-free alternatives.

  • She avoids artificial colors due to her own allergies and a strong belief in promoting health-conscious choices for her customers.

  • Her baked goods include cookies, tea-time treats, gluten-free cakes, and even traditional Indian sweets.

Design Approach:

Keeping these brand values in mind, I crafted a visual identity that embodies the purity and simplicity of Freshly Baked Yummies. The logo is minimal yet memorable, steering away from conventional bakery motifs while capturing the warmth and wholesomeness of Sana’s creations.

Kahfe – A Turkish-Inspired Café & Mini Library (Mock Project)

Brief:

Kahfe is a concept I created—a Turkish-inspired café that doubles as a cozy reading nook for book lovers and storytellers. The name itself is a fusion of two words:

  • ‘Kahve’ – meaning coffee in Turkish.

  • ‘Café’ – creating a seamless blend that represents both the cultural and social experience of a coffeehouse.

The Vision:

This café isn’t just about serving coffee; it’s about immersing visitors in the rich essence of Turkish culture. Here’s what makes Kahfe special:

  • A Turkish aesthetic – The logo incorporates a traditional Turkish coffee cup and the iconic Galata Tower, a symbol of Istanbul’s timeless charm.

  • A haven for book lovers – A cozy corner lined with books, inviting guests to get lost in stories over a warm cup of coffee.

  • A cultural hub – The café would host weekend open mic sessions for poetry, storytelling, and socializing among literature enthusiasts.

Design Approach:

The brand identity reflects the warmth, richness, and storytelling spirit of Turkish culture. The visuals capture the essence of a soulful café experience, where coffee meets literature, and strangers become friends over shared stories.
